How squares works
The classic 100-box grid for a single NFL game. Claim a box, and it wins whenever its digits match the score at the end of a quarter. No sports knowledge required.
The steps
- 1Pick a game
Choose one NFL game from the coming week and name your board. A board is always one game.
- 2Share the link
Send it to your group. Everyone claims squares by name until the board is full or the game kicks off.
- 3Digits are drawn at kickoff
The digits 0–9 are drawn at random for each axis, once, so nobody can pick a square knowing the numbers. Drawn digits are reproducible from a stored seed.
- 4A winner every quarter
When a quarter ends, take the last digit of each team's score. The square where those two digits meet wins that quarter.
A worked example
End of the first quarter, the away team has 7 and the home team has 3. Find the column headed 7 and the row headed 3. Whoever claimed that square wins the quarter. Quarters two, three and four work the same way, so one board crowns up to four winners.

- What does it cost?
